Q & A
Are visitors welcome?
Absolutely! We welcome visitors every week. Whether you’re visiting the Sea to Sky area for the first time or whether you're a perminant resident in this lovely part of the world, you're more than welcome to attend Church on 99.
What should I wear?
Smart casual would be the norm here.
When and how long are the services?
There is one Sunday service and it begins at 10:00 AM and ends at 11:30 -11:45 AM. For the ambitious we have pre-service prayer from 9:00 AM - 9:30 AM. Our coffee bar is open before and after the service and we encourage you to come, meet people, and get involved in the community of Church on 99.
What will the services be like?
The atmosphere is relaxed, relatively informal, and lively. We have a great group of song writers and musicians that lead us in that portion of the service, and then we dismiss the children into the capable hands of our Children’s ministry team King's Kids; then finish with a relevant message/teaching from the Bible. The services are designed to be life-giving, edifying, God honoring, educational, challenging, and applicable to every day life.
What about my children?
Our children's ministry is called "King's Kids". It provides a fun and exciting learning experience for children aged 3-12, and we provide nursery care for children aged 6 months to 2 years. This ministry is happening at the same time as the adult service. Our King's Kids coordinator is Marilyne .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Marilyne's capable leadership, along with her trained staff (all of which have undergone criminal record checks), will allow you to feel secure as you leave them for the duration of the service. Our practice is to sign the children in at the King's Kids registration table in our foyer at the time of your arrival. The children then join their parents in the main auditorium for the singing portion of the service after which they are dismissed into the capable hands of the King's Kids workers. At the close of the service parents return to the King's Kids registration table in order to sign their children out. Our nursery and children’s ministry rooms are excellently equipped and maintained to the highest standard.
